What is ACT-Web? ACT-Web is an index of Catholic Dossier (from Jul/Aug 1995 to Jan/Feb) and This Rock (from Apr 1995 to Mar 2000). All articles, features, columns, and reviews are indexed. Also indexed are the main editorials in Catholic Dossier and excerpts from Church documents and public domain works carried by both magazines.

How do you use ACT-Web? Go to the subjects for a complete list of all concepts indexed. From any subject in the list, you can go to a list of all the periodical titles that deal with that subject. Linking on a periodical title will give you the complete bibliographic citation (all the information you need to find the article) as well as a list of the other subjects that describe the article.

Would you like to see more Catholic periodicals indexed? Did you read a great article in a Catholic periodical last year, but cannot remember where? Would you like to know what some of the best Catholic thinkers are writing on a particular subject? Normally, when you want to find information in journals, you check an indexing service. However, only a small percentage of Catholic periodicals published in the United States are indexed by an indexing service.
