About Danny Mora
Danny Mora is an actor, writer, producer and comedian with more than twenty-five years spent working in the Hollywood film and television industry. A proficient comedy writer, Mr. Mora earned his union card on staff at the classic ABC hit series "Laverne And Shirley", and under his Peer Group Productions banner has conducted his Sitcom Bootcamp for more than twenty years. Mr. Mora's acting credits include three TV series and dozens of episodic TV programs, with guest appearances from "Hill Street Blues" to "Beverly Hills 90210", a recurring role on the hit comedy series "Chico And The Man" and a regular part on the ABC series "Star Of The Family", where he worked alongside Brian Dennehy. Guest appearances also include "State Of Grace" and "Dharma and Greg". In the summer of 2000, he portrayed Fidel Castro in the world premiere of the play "The Boys of Mariel". In the fall of 2001, Mr. Mora was seen as Father Rivera during six sweeps-weeks special episodes of "The Bold and the Beautiful", and in 2003 appeared as a special guest star on an episode of the WB drama "Angel". In 2005, he appeared in "Commander-In-Chief",followed by "Ugly Betty" in 2007 and "Monk" in 2008. Mr. Mora's film credits include a featured role in "Mr. Mom", and more recently, the productions of "Brown's Requiem", "Rennie's Landing" and "Gridiron Gang".
A stand-up comic for many years, Mr. Mora also functioned as a talent coordinator at the renowned Comedy Store in Hollywood, where he conducted classes in stand-up comedy and improvisation. For years, he has traveled to Korea to entertain U.S. troops stationed there, but in 2001, forfeited the tour in order to take on the challenge of Directing Lydia Nicole's one woman show "Calling Up Papi", which premiered in the Belly Room of the Comedy Store in Hollywood, before completing a successful six-week run in New York. As an acting coach, Mr. Mora's clients include cast members from Nickelodeon's "Brothers Garcia", John Henton, co-star of the popular ABC/UPN sitcom "The Hughleys" and Jay Hernandez, who starred in the Touchstone film "crazy/beautiful".
